I was looking for a brighter and bigger rear light. This light was perfect! It's big and bright enough to be seen from a long distance. I bought a blue light with red safety lights. I chose this combo because I love blue, but most bikes in my area have little red taillights so I stand out. In addition, drivers associate blue and red light combinations with ambulances; Logically, it follows that it makes me more visible to the distracted driver. I noticed that the drivers have become more attentive and are clearing the road. Light also holds a charge for a long time. I drive 40 minutes to and from work every day and usually drive a few hours around town on the weekends. I have to charge the lamp about every two weeks. This saves batteries and their recycling. The tripod clamp stays in place and the light easily detaches in seconds. Unlike other flashlights that attach to a holster, of which I've lost 3, this flashlight stays in place.
