At these prices this item is one of those items that should be purchased separately as a replacement item. Like most people, I've searched. Finally found out and used. My friend saw one of them on Revain and told me about it. I ordered right away. It works exactly as I expected. I haven't used it for 4K, I just hope my HD cameras (Blackmagic Ultra Pro and Panasonic G85) can basically be used on any computer. This little thing might solve the problem. I use it about 50% of the time - it works well. The second time I plugged it into a USB 3.0 power port on a small USB hub, it made a loud noise. But as far as I know it never stopped working or got corrupted in any way. I like to use it as a backup and I can put it in my bag, carry my camera around and know a little about the settings, I can use it on any computer. I have used many capture cards in the past and most of them are more expensive. I picked them to try recording video podcasts and OBS. For the video quality I'm using, the video quality seems good and the camcorder records podcasts.
