Well, user error. I made a robe. bad. It looks great on my wife, but it's on her. Either way, getting the lapels to work inside was a real nightmare that took the joy out of my heart and plunged my sewing room into a pit of black satin despair. I'm not a professional but I love making things. So it shouldn't have been so sad. Also, I had time with pockets and French seams which made me think maybe I should give up sewing for color by number. The quilts were her hottie and a really nice little addition. I hemmed the border in red on a black satin base and was very pleased. I'll be making a jumpsuit/nightgown later and I plan to try the robe again. The belt attachment is very clever. I appreciate it very much. Prize for the variety of nests of thread hell you can create. Also, I find ripping the stitches akin to a meditation on patience and self-forgiveness. I remember AF afterwards.
