Yesterday connected the charger to test it. I watched it charge for a few minutes and turned it off. Today I plugged it into the port and found that it doesn't charge. When I took it out, the center pin got stuck in the charger case and wouldn't pop out. I managed to move the pin and pull it back, put it back in the socket and the same thing happened. I noticed that the pin was pushed back at an angle. I didn't plug it in tightly, I have a GPS charger that I use regularly, so it's not mine and not my car socket. I hooked up this charger twice and it was all it took to become completely unusable. Clearly Defective Unit.tldr: Send it back without bothering to try again with that brand. Bought another one off the drugstore shelf for my trip home and it worked fine.
