Review on CPU cooler ID-COOLING SE-224-XT Basic, silver/black/grey by Janis Ziemelis ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is really good, I'm glad I purchased it.

On the one hand, I was pleased that the cooler came in an ated configuration with support for the 1700 socket, but the minus here is that this plate has become noticeably thinner. So, if you take it for old sockets, it might be worth looking for the old version or even taking it from your hands. The fact that the performance of the cooler is greatly overestimated, I think, will not surprise anyone, judging by the stress tests of the Core i5 11400f (on the bundled thermal paste, which is even slightly better than the MX4, if you believe the numbers and its price), it draws God forbid 130 watts, on the AVX-512 more than 80 degrees in OCCT at 125 watts. An amateur mount is good for any non-standard cases of CPU thickness, because. the screws can be slightly undertightened by the springs. But in other cases, brackets are simpler, like the DeepCool gamma 400. The cooler is quite quiet, but min. RPMs are 800 (however, like most), and not 200, like the Arctic PST, although even it only works on AsRock from 800.

Pros
  • Performance, price
Cons
  • Overestimated TDP, thin backplate in new versions (under 1700), High min. cooler speed.
