My hair fell out

First, a little background: I am a 22-year-old woman and I started buying professional shampoo after experiencing hormonal changes and living in a very polluted area of China water . and the air drastically altered the texture of my hair, falling out and becoming so brittle that I could not comb it or it would break and fall into pieces. I bought this product along with the matching conditioner on the recommendation of my hairdresser and at first I thought it was a miracle as it left my hair so soft and smooth. I was so excited and spent another $60 on it after placing my first order. However, after about 6 months I noticed that my scalp was more flaky than usual. I attributed it to the winter weather and ignored it until I started noticing scabs under my hair. I couldn't figure out what was causing it and tried stopping the use of air conditioning, changing the pillowcases and diet, but nothing helped. The final straw was that my follicles started to flake off: my hair fell out in the middle of the day and I saw it on shirts or in the car. It was awful and when I ordered this shampoo I noticed that one of the one star reviews ALSO mentioned hair loss and scalp dryness. I stopped using it and my scalp healed in the next week and the hair loss stopped in the last month. I switched to Garnier Triple Nutrition and it works so much better, isn't irritating, and is $7 at Target. So I wouldn't recommend this - I spent $120 to extend my hair restoration journey.
