These earbuds seem to work great when my son actually lets me put them in. He hates that he can't hear his friends when they play and swim. Most of the time he would prefer not to put his head under (hoses). But if he wants to jump, he will put them in. They seem to protrude and are uncomfortable when we add an earflap to them. But if they didn't stick out, they wouldn't be easy to remove. So it's just something we deal with or use one of the other, not both at the same time.
