Worked surprisingly well - after cutting an inch off the threaded end of the ball joint

to try first. I had to cut about an inch off the threaded end of the ball joint to fit, but when I did that the bottom joint came free in about two minutes. The top was the same, I trimmed the ball joint to fit - it fell out once I started tightening it.
