Review on 🚣 Thule 854 Kayak Carrier Accessory Mat - Black, One Size: Water Slide Upgrade for Enhanced Performance by Joshua Albright

Give me "+1" for belt failure! Having recently bought a "new to me" SUV, I'm in the process of customizing it to tow a couple Yaks on the roof. This is my first experience with Thule products and apart from the shock of the decals I've been very impressed with them for the most part (I've also bought handlebars and saddles for kayaks). I didn't mean to buy this product but bit through a $36 bullet instead of spending the time it takes to make something myself. Well it seems some of the concoctions are just my destiny as during the TEST PHASE in my driveway one of the straps came loose when I took it off the handlebars SECOND time! The case was not yet in the sea. To my knowledge Thule stand by their products and I'm sure I could return them, but unless the production has changed they ALL will. I sewed the strap back onto myself using 30 pounds of braided cord for thread. Seems strong enough for now. If that doesn't work, I'm sure I'll think of something else. I gave the product 3 stars because the concept is solid. The mat gets the job done and is an essential part of being able to load an 85 pound 13 foot fishing yak on my Grand Cherokee by myself. Fix this glaring bug and this is a 4-5 star product all day long.
