Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best portrait monitor, but there are other downsides.

I bought this monitor to use with my Microsoft Surface Pro 7. I was taking an online Word/Excel/PowerPoint course and needed to increase the screen size. I also needed the flexibility to use landscape for Excel and PowerPoint and portrait for Word. Pros: 1) Tech support was very responsive. Answered my questions quickly and even helped me buy a longer PD cord as I didn't have an outlet three feet from the monitor. 2) The touchscreen was good, not as responsive as my Surface Pro, but it worked when I needed it. 3) I liked the portrait look and the easy switch from landscape to portrait mode. !Cons: 1) When the Surface Pro went to sleep, so did the monitor BUT I couldn't get the secondary monitor or my Surface Pro to wake up again. I went online to troubleshoot the issue and found that I had to hold down the MSP power button for 20 seconds to allow everything to restart. It doesn't matter which USB-C port I used, same problem. Very annoying 2) The second problem was the brightness of the screen. Every time I turned on the monitor, I had to reset the brightness to 100% to get closer to my MSP's brightness. Neither the monitor nor your system can "remember" where the settings were when you last used it, even if the monitor is still connected. 3) very short power cord. Who has a power cord 3 feet away? 4) While I liked the portrait mode option, I found the stand a bit flimsy and difficult to pull out as it requires two hands. I think this is a design issue that could be improved. . So overall, despite a few issues, this is still a great portable monitor!
