didn't help much with the installation and setup but mine worked pretty basic. only gave it 3 stars because the scanner works well once you get used to it, but it wasn't as helpful as I was hoping. I have hundreds of books, dvds, cds and the like and was hoping I could use this to scan ISBNs or whatever and keep track of what I sign up so I can sell or donate those items to help clear up the clutter to get rid of. . However, it takes additional time and money to find databases that link barcodes to related information for books, CDs, etc. You can't just scan an ISBN and get the title, author, or other information. probably not enough effort on my part, but just wanted to let others know that this alone doesn't help with inventorying.
