If you're looking for something to replace velcro or drawstring, you'll almost certainly like velcro or drawstring better. , if you are looking for a lightweight item for attaching lightweight cables then this may be what you need. What I like about them is that the magnets not only stick to each other, they also stick to the metal. This makes it easy to organize cords along the side of a filing cabinet or along a metal strip attached to the wall above my desk as shown in the picture. +++ It's been a year since I bought it and times have changed. Since I bought a 3D printer, I've been able to make custom cable clips tailored to specific needs. This eliminates the need for those once useful zip ties to wrap cables. But even in obsolescence, these things are still useful. I use magnets, two in each box, for fridge magnets.
