Some modifications required

The only disappointment I have is the camera mount which has four screws none of which fit into the intended mounting locations. Because of this I had to drill where the screws go which is very frustrating. Please provide the right size screws or design the camera mount better. The camera mount had two slots with holes that were too small so they had to be drilled out and they were in the front. There were two slits on the back that didn't have holes and also needed to be drilled out. There was absolutely no way to use the included screws without drilling larger holes in the front and slots in the back. I also don't understand why there were holes drilled in the two front slots when they were too small and there were no holes in the rear slots. If you only use the two front slots and put screws in there, it is only a matter of time before the adhesive tape fails and the camera starts to wobble forward due to the lack of screws on the back. I ended up using four screws, if they were wrong or this mount was poorly designed it's not a fact now. Also, the instructions didn't specify which side of the camera was up, which was an easy fix, just unscrew the two allen heads on each side and flip them over. Anyway, except that the installation went very well. The instructions also don't mention anything about the reversing sensor wire, which needs to be connected to the reversing light power wire so that the radio automatically raises the rear camera when the car is reversing. You can argue that you are referring to the instructions for the stereo deck, but since that is directly related to the rear camera, what's wrong with including that in the installation guide? In any case, unless Revain or Pioneer assembled it and used different screw sizes or redesigned the mount, be prepared for minor modifications to the mount. Also, be prepared to drill a hole and/or depending on the car, cut a piece of plastic with a dremel to hide the rear camera cable. I didn't have to drill through the metal of the car, I used a standard hole that was only for a sunroof switch with a rubber grommet, cut the grommet in half, added a fuse wire, pulled it in, and used black RTV sealant. make it like new everything came out very well.
