The firewall was not good. The device randomly turned off for no reason. I have been troubleshooting the device for 2 weeks and could not determine the cause from the logs. The throughput of my Internet service has dropped to around 30 Mbit/s; much lower than stated. ** The only positive indication of an accidental shutdown is that the firewall automatically works again without user intervention. ** Device has VPN capabilities but no software. Try to use the company's software and you will be charged for using it. I requested email support from Zyxel twice and both times I found hidden information on the support site (not the manufacturer's site). If you buy this firewall, do yourself a favor and just buy tech support when it's available. I will never buy a Zyxel product again and will not offer it as an option to any of my customers. Spend extra money on SonicWall or WatchGuard. SW and WG are stable and reliable (unless you get a bad device). I'm willing to consider that I might have a bad (spirited) unit. But I still wouldn't buy Zyxel because of the poor technical support and lack of documentation.
