The color of this gold leaf is beautiful - not too copper or brassy. But the problem is that it's presented pretty poorly. The leaves are simply thrown together in a flexible, soft envelope that does not protect the gold leaf. Thus, the edges of almost every 100 sheets will crumble and corrode due to mechanical friction and abrasion on the sides of the envelope. Some people may not mind this, but personally I consider this a waste as the outer 1 centimeter of each leaf's circumference is essentially useless. I asked the seller why they don't use rigid cardboard, to protect the panels from warping and corrosion, but they claimed that the cardboard made the problem worse. do i believe it Not really. I have bought many other tins from various brands online which have arrived in pristine condition. Would I buy this film again? Probably no. Gold leaf is quite hard due to the brittleness of each leaf, so I'd rather have leaves intact to begin with than ones that have already cracked from wear.
