Review on 🖥️ SAS9211-8I 8-Port Internal 6GB SATA+SAS PCIe 2.0 Controller for Effective Data Management by Chris Meers

I've had this for about 4 years now. Reliable as a freeNAS controller for 8 Western Digital 2TB Red. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars and I thought about giving it 3 stars is because LSI went to Broadcom, Broadcom to Avago. So it's almost impossible to find the latest firmware package 9211-8i_Package_P20_IR_IT_FW_BIOS_for_MSDOS_Windows.zip. I looked around for the filename and was able to search their website and found docs.broadcom.com/docs/9211_8i_Package_P20_IR_IT_FW_BIOS_for_MSDOS_Windows.zip. As far as I can tell, there is no landing page. And this will most likely be the last update. But if you need the latest driver from 2016. That's all. Again, the controller has been flawless in recent years. Too much was given away.
