The step works great and is made of very thick steel. However, if you want to avoid the frustration of installing this on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Sport, I recommend the following procedures: 1. Install the bracket according to the instructions. Leave the screws loose.2. Locate and remove the factory screws on the frame used to attach the bracket.3. Insert the factory screws into the bracket mounting holes so that they align.4. Tighten all bracket screws.5. Mount the bracket to the truck frame.6. Set step 7. Enjoy. If you follow the manufacturer's instructions, you will not be able to tighten all the screws after installation because there is not enough free play. Follow the steps above and you will be fine.
