We moved into a house with an old Honeywell electrostatic air filter from the 1980's. It might have worked once, but it definitely didn't work anymore. There was a thin filter in the shaft in front of him, but it wasn't very effective. The smart guys at 3M designed this paper filter to fit perfectly in the ESP chamber.
