My son, who usually does not like to wear a coat in all weathers, likes it very much as it is light and comfortable to wear. Not sure how waterproof it will be given the nature of the fabric, but on a wet day it will easily fit under a standard waterproof Mac. I have given 11-12 years for my tall 9 year old - there is room to grow but not too big.
- I kept the jacket hoping to get a larger size but other than that it's good quality.
- The filling can be made of low-quality materials, which over time lose their thermal insulation properties.
