My daughter, who lives in a small apartment in New York, recently adopted a tiny Yorkie. It turned out that the Yorkie barks a lot, and my daughter was afraid that the neighbors would complain about it. My daughter tried the vibrating collar but it didn't work. Since citronella collars fit my two large dogs well, I bought this collar for my daughter and it works great. Instead of constantly barking at noise, your Yorkshire Terrier will simply bark once and stop barking as soon as the citronella breaks out of the collar. As for my two large dogs? I was concerned that they bark a lot in our yard because I have a neighbor who complained about the barking 5 years ago. The citronella collars stopped my dogs from barking and no one has complained since. In fact, I no longer have to wear citronella collars on my dogs as they seem to have learned to bark less in the street thanks to the collars (except when they see or smell a fox on the other side of the fence, in which case everything is priced off) . I recommend citronella collars as better than vibration or shock collars.
