Review on 🏺 Optimal Plaster 4lb Pottery & Ceramic Casting Compound by Mariah Ray

This product is very easy to use and is ideal for making jewelery from plaster of paris. We love to draw ornaments every year and plaster crafts seems to be a thing of the past as you won't find more choices in any craft store these days. After drying, I drill holes so they can be hung on the Christmas tree. The only problem/dislike I have is the warning/warning label. The description says it's non-toxic, but the packaging says otherwise. See image. This product solidifies through a chemical reaction between calcium sulfate hemihydrate and crystalline silica. The packaging says to use gloves and a respirator and use in a well-ventilated area. Needless to say the kids were unhappy when I didn't let them mix and match and fill the shapes. According to the warning on the packaging, you should also not use it to make handprint forms. See again my photo of the back of the bag.
