Review on Uniweld K40 Acetylene Handle Connect by Malik Munns

Faulty hose packaging. It's twisted too tight, resulting in a permanent kink at one end. I noticed this when unboxing the kit, but decided to give it a try anyway. Full tank and nothing. Not a molecule of acetylene. I disconnected the hose, hooked it up to 60psi of air and you could barely hear anything going through the hose. I took a 3 inch piece of 3mm OD thin wall stainless steel tubing and inserted it into a bent hose and the gas is now flowing as it should. To make everything work, I inserted a 4" long piece of 5/8. 1/16" OD PTFE tubing over the entire end of the tubing and secure it to the brass fitting with the Aero-Seal clamp. Now everything works as it should. But why did I have to do this? Because some assholes have twisted the hose to the point of failure. It's just shoddy craftsmanship and there's no excuse for it.
