Only suitable for certain increments! This product does not match the description. The product description from January 2021 states that the gate is suitable for openings from 52.5" to 192". That's not the case. It's only available in four different sizes when there should be seven width options. The gate has 2 types of panels male and female with a set of male and female end pieces needed to hold the spindle in place so each end can be attached to the wall. Therefore you have to remove the panels in sets of two in order to be able to mount them on each side on the wall, as confirmed by customer service. Or you can buy additional parts. Now I had to remove 3 panels to use as a very wide gate. That was after using it as a playground, which worked fine until my daughter got tired of being in jail. It took several hours one evening to realize that we needed two sets of female end caps and that we hadn't actually lost them. This is a ridiculous design that has caused a lot of frustration. Why not make one end of each panel "Dad" and the other end "Mama" to make it work with an odd number of panels removed? I contacted customer service via email and I will say they responded quickly, they confirmed that I needed additional female tips and offered to send them to me. Didn't want to wait who knows how long it would be in this pandemic so we got an extra long bolt ($1) from the hardware store and used it as a temporary female element (see photo). We had to sand the edges of the top half to fit the bolt, but we could have used a thinner one. I don't recommend doing what we did as I'm sure it will void the warranty, but be aware other people are experiencing the same frustrations as you and you can contact support for an extra part turn around. Finally I don't think so. strong when used as very long gates, but it is probably difficult to make gates that long that fold very strongly. If you need a gate that long I suggest trying a different one, but if that's your only option, with a little rigging it will get the job done.
