I first bought one of these in turquoise as a gift for my husband. I also wanted to test them to see how they would work. He is a guitarist and wanted him to record his playing. We were both very impressed with the sound quality and all the options. We also loved all the cute yeti art. I liked that there were so many colors to choose from. It's always great. So I bought a white one on Black Friday. I am very satisfied, but I noticed that the packaging is slightly different. Especially that it came with a much nicer instruction manual. It had a nice mic cover on the front and pictures of a yeti inside. I don't know if I have a newer or older model, but mine is just a boring white "registration" book with minimal information and instructions. It's not like I need to figure out how to use it, but I like getting fun notebooks and not just boring little notebooks. Another difference, and a small one at that, is that my cable is a smoother matte color. i like it more It's nice. The one that came with the teal was a typical shiny cable. They may have to match the mics, but I found it interesting that they look and feel different. Mine matches my turquoise white room perfectly. Overall we are both quite happy with it.
