This is very impressive! I've been using the CHI hair straightener regularly for 15 years (I've only bought 2). I was skeptical that I could find anything that would match my CHI, but this might be it. The design is very well thought out. Thanks to the soft coating, it is light and comfortable to wear. It's easy to hold and use, and the best part is the little handles on the end where you can place your fingers while using it. With my other hair straightener, I always put my fingers in it and it gets very hot. I have no idea what temperature my other straightener gets to and have never doubted it, but now I'm curious. It has a very easy to use and easy to set up display that allows you to increase or decrease the temperature. It starts at 390 and flashes during heating to indicate temperature change. It probably takes 30 seconds to go from 0 to 390 and just a few more seconds if you need to increase or decrease. In fact, it heats up and cools down very quickly. I used it on 390 which seems perfect. It's enough to straighten my moderately thick and wavy hair without creating steam buildup or noise like my hair is burned. The real question is will it stand the test of time like my previous straighteners have and I really hope it does.
