I just bought an electric car and tried to charge it in my garage but it didn't work. I researched the problem online and found that it is often a ground fault, so I ordered this tester. It showed open ground so I called an electrician. The ground is fine, the whole garage is grounded and the connection to the house is also fine. This little thing was supposed to tell me that, but instead I had to pay an electrician for the information. He used a similar but accurate tester and multimeter to show me he was grounded.
