Review on ๐Ÿท Premium 20 Bottle Freestanding Wine Cooler Refrigerator - Quiet Compressor, Digital Temperature Control, Glass Door, Black Finish by Brian Quenzer

Not recommended for wine connoisseurs.

I bought this wine cooler specifically for storing red wine bottles in the basement. I've had the cool box for 3 weeks now. I set the cooler to 58 degrees and it did a great job of maintaining the temperature; works very quietly! I chose birch wood stands and overall the device is large, compact in size and has a pleasing aesthetic. Storage is advertised as 20 bottles, but I don't see a way to comfortably fit 20 bottles in this fridge. Shelf clearance is limited even for a standard 750ml wine bottle and any bottle with slightly larger circumference or height should fit on the bottom of a cabinet that only holds 4 bottles. From time to time I'll probably have to remove the bottom wooden shelf and pyramid of 7 bottles, which will cost at least 1 bottle of total storage. In order to be able to slide the wooden shelves out easily enough to easily pick up or remove most bottles, the door needs to be opened almost a full 180 degrees, so add that in consideration of how you place the cooler. Biggest complaint is the strong formaldehyde/glue smell inside the unit, I suspect this is due to the insulation used. I ventilated the device for a full 24 hours. after unpacking but nothing has changed. Pulled out the wooden racks thinking it might be the source but it wasn't. After 3 weeks the smell has dissipated a bit but you can still feel it. In addition, the LED temperature display is quite bright, it will surely brighten up the room in the dark. ADVANTAGES: Seals well and maintains a constant temperature; Very quiet operation; Compact size and beautiful aesthetic appearance. CONS: Chemical smell in the radiator; Dense shelves can limit bottle capacity; Wooden shelves are good but the construction is cheaper (I had to glue a broken shelf joint as the wooden joints stick together); The brightness of the temperature LED cannot be adjusted.
