Brightness is great for "stage" lighting or a reading lamp. However, the dimming wasn't low enough to be a great night light for kids. It could work better in a larger room, but our son's room is a bit smaller and was too bright on all settings, including the night light setting. Echo Glow is more suited to a children's night out in a small child's room, but it's great for scenes and maybe adults who like to fall asleep to music and/or the sea or other relaxing scenes in large rooms. It would also be good for the normal wake up light to gradually add the sunrise effect to wake you up gently. Works great with other Govee products but not the best for the small space we wanted for a child's room.
