I probably would have rated myself lower but the seller gave me a very good refund and I've heard good reviews from other friends who have bought them. I've taken them to two trail runs. One was less than an hour and the other about 2 1/2. On both occasions I ran across creeks so my feet were submerged but not high enough to put on socks. Both runs got my feet wet. Later I tried to put my hand in one of them and put it in a bowl of water to see what would happen. At first I had a dry hand. I then let the socks dry and when I touched them they were wet on the inside so I think the water was slowly soaking in. Not sure if it's just a bunch of slackers or if this is other people's experience. My friends who recommended them tell me their feet stay dry. Does anyone use toe pads, maybe that helps?
