Good length. Waist and legs are large. The haircut is more for boys. The lace is for beauty only, does not tighten the waist. My 10 year old daughter needs longer shorts (recommended knee length) for the church camp she is attending. It is very difficult to find girls in long shorts. They'll do the job, but I can guarantee she won't wear them anywhere else. I have to tuck my waist in because the drawstring doesn't work. Would like to have more colors to choose from.
