My first purchase was a cheaper bushing with set screws on opposite sides of the center bushing and no set screws in the flange portion of the bushing. The problem is that the set screws take all the force to keep the hub from turning on the shaft and there are very few threads to distribute that force. When I saw this hub with a wider threaded flange and on the same side as the second set screw, I knew I had found the right hub. (Unless you can find a D-hole hub anyway.) Since both bolts are on the same side, they both sit MUCH more firmly on the flat part of the shaft than the other lug. The long thread path through the flange also provides a large thread surface area for force distribution and for holding the hub securely. As I said above, a D-bore hub would be better as that would be impossible for the shaft to do. Slipping, and the job of the set screw is just to keep the hub from falling off. Unfortunately, they are not yet available in the size I need of 6 mm. That being said, this hub is the best design I have found for high torque use cases.
