Buyer warning! Poor quality control of a failed cable would probably be fine for phone use.

Rubbish! I bought this because I was looking for a reliable "buy for life" cable. I didn't know much about phone cords, but I learned quite a bit about RJ11 cords, crimping and wiring thanks to this horrible cord that gave me a lot of trouble. Long story short, these cables are made with very poor quality control and I had to disassemble and reassemble mine to get it working. I doubled the cost of this cable to have it repaired because it would take me 4 hours of sweaty, nasty work to remove everything needed to replace it. So I decided to invest my money and time in crimping machines and training. Bought this for a solar installation, I buried this wire deep in the electronics outlet, assuming it will work when the time comes. HOWEVER this is not the case, my first guess was that it was a problem with my devices as no reputable company would sell defective phone cords, but I was very wrong. In the application you will find a picture of the connectors. You can barely see the colors of the wires, but there are 4 wires for the phone cord: green, white/green, orange, and white/orange. White-Green and Green are a pair of stranded wires, Orange and White-Orange are another pair of stranded wires, they are twisted together to prevent signal interference from their other color counterparts. When crimping the cable, white-green/green and white-orange/orange should be next to each other. BUT my wires weren't crimped properly and the order was green, orange, white-green, white-orange. Why the wires didn't work in my electrical setup, they might have worked if they weren't surrounded by other electronics I don't know. However, I can tell you that they work perfectly after I cut their ends and crimped them back in the right order. I cannot express how disappointed and angry I was to find that I was sold a bad cable after installation. deep into my electrical installation. Maybe that's why all Chinese goods pay so much attention.
