I recently bought an adjustable bed with whistles and stuffed animals. Unfortunately, it stands quite high off the ground and is covered with a memory foam mattress. I manage to sit on tiptoe on the edge of the bed, but then the memory foam settles, making it almost impossible to move easily to the middle of the bed. toward the center of the bed before sitting down. I found this small step and it looked promising. One of the options matched my other bedroom furniture and was just the height I needed at just over 6 inches. I bought it and was able to assemble it. I'm an older woman and not usually very "hardware oriented", but this wasn't difficult to put together at all. The best news: IT WORKS! I can bounce off the step and land almost dead center on the bed. The crotch itself is pretty solid – I'm a burly girl, and with a 400-pound weight rating, the crotch feels rock solid. Very nice in all respects.
