Review on 🌊 Enhance Your Marine System with the Jecod/Jebao DCT Marine Controllable Water Pump by Cathy Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Both have pumped well and are working to date

Over the past 4 years I have tried a few different pumps in my current installation. My first pump was an Aqueon QuietFlow AQ2300 and then I upgraded to a Rio 14HF. Both pumped water well and are still working today. But I always had a vibrating noise no matter how hard I tried to muffle it. They had rubber feet, foam cutouts to lean on, and even foam-wrapped water tubes where they made contact with every surface. They get quieter over time, but you can still hear that "hum" all the time. After setting up the Jebao DCT 6000, I worried that it wasn't really working as it should. When the engine accelerates, a very slight "whistle" can be heard, which disappears when the set speed is reached. Another great feature of this pump is the "Feed" button, which stops the pump for 10 minutes instead of constantly unplugging and plugging the pump. I also like how the DC pump slowly increases speed; Instead of just running at full speed after feeding, the fish and turtles get some information. These are just my first impressions of this pump and will be updated if any issues arise. But for now it's a 5 star pump out of the box. One more thing before I forget is that the pump is larger than most AC pumps I've used for my 75 gallon aquarium. Make sure you have enough tolerance for it.
