Very tight, functional noise reduction.

I have an 83 foot Mercedes 240D. The hood insulation came off and the vibration of the engine became very loud and the hood knocking began to increase. I took it to a mechanic and the vibration went away for about a week and then came back, very loud. I saw this product and was hoping it might be the solution. Not only does the material deaden the sound of the engine, but the weight and density of the material is enough to weigh down the hood and eliminate most of the rumble. Due to the design of my hood I didn't have to cut much and was able to cover a large area. I will update with photos and how it works over time. At the moment I'm looking, but I wanted to present something now. The app was a bit difficult for me because it required power and it would probably be nice if someone could help you. I did not remove the hood and no one helped to apply back pressure while riding. It is recommended to use a second coat of another complimentary product over this two component system. I will do this too. I used a 2" paint roller to roll the sections to get a good grip. I first washed the surface with dish soap before applying and then removed the residue with rubbing alcohol and then washed again. Be careful with starting with a clean surface.I have experience with similar applications as well and have kept my fingers away from the sticky surface and have been very careful to align the first edge so that it rolls off one end, using gravity to help me with my work to help. I watched the video but they were installing small very non standard parts on small areas. I have had large parts and hope that over time it will work out as well as installing small parts. The work was sweaty It's a good idea to take on this job under a canopy or on a dry day with moderate temperatures, a garage would be ideal nervous girl, I regularly check on every ride whether the setup is holding up and so far so good. I worry about those heavy slabs falling off but that's just me who's the anxious type. 5 Stars. It's like having a new car that looks more like a regular petrol engine. Not quite, but the knock and noise cancellation are excellent.
