That's a bomb!
The new Speedplay X boots snap in and hold up very well. Wow, I've wanted them for over 20 years! How nice it is to walk in boots without damaging them. Coffee boot covers work, but a bit PITA. Just wear and forget. I just got them so I have no idea about their shelf life but even if they only last six months they are worth it. I've just ordered a few more in case I need to replace them occasionally. They seem easier to install and remove a second time. I think it's best to snap them in once and leave them in place so they hold up better when riding. Let's see how time flies.
