I bought these mainly to wear indoors during the colder months. But I wore them when I went for a walk when the temp was in the mid 40's. You were perfect! I'm 5ft 6" and 148lbs with a straight build so there's a bit more room in the hips. And if they were an inch longer I wouldn't complain! But they match my sneakers perfectly. I already have a black pair and love them so much I went for navy blue.I wash them with the dark colors in cold water (no fabric softener), throw them in the dryer for a few minutes to remove wrinkles, and hang them up. dry. So far, so good!
