Review on Scarves Shrugs Shawls Knitted Techniques by Hannah Curi

This is an amazing knitting book for those who love to knit scarves, shawls or shawls. What is particularly pleasing is that the book begins with full-color pages with photographs of all the projects. I was particularly taken with the light green triangular shawl, which is easy to knit. To me it looks more like a mini scarf than a shawl. In a beautiful tan shade, the loop scarf is structured and beautiful. Fair Isle stole is a classic, a knit that any Fair Isle lover will love. The bright turquoise Möbius sling is knitted in a basket weave pattern and looks very comfortable. A leaf collar is a scarf that is pulled through a hole at the other end. It's knitted in blue gray and I'm thinking of knitting it for my granddaughter. The lace block shawl is very flimsy and can be tricky to knit, but it's worth it. The Multiway Stole can be worn two ways, either as a classic stole or buttoned up to look like a short sleeved cardigan without much backing. The crescent moon shawl is another lace marvel knitted in a beautiful lilac. I'm not a fan of shrugs, but even I was convinced by a ruffled scarf. This blanket has a great texture. I'm glad the book has a section on how to wear a scarf. I often think there is only one way, but the portraits shown suggest many ways to wear his new creation. Again these are great photos that are sharp and accurate. The book ends with a section on techniques that covers things like temporary crochet hooks, forming short rows, moebius shapes, hem knitting, ropes, no-turn pompoms, lace, two-handed fair isle, fair isle with yarn, and cast-on loop edges. All patterns are written out and applied to the chart, so both methods of knitting are included depending on your preferences. Overall the patterns in these books are great and I've only covered a few of them. There's a lot more than I've mentioned and Sarah Hutton has done a great job designing knitting patterns that we can all enjoy.
