I don't know why it took us so long to buy this but we're glad we did! We have been making Thai tea at home for many years and it always comes out very grainy because our metal strainer is not thin enough. So we end up filtering the tea more than 10 times and still get pieces. The last straw was that we were trying to make Thai tea ice cream and the ice cream wasn't homogeneous at all because we couldn't take out all the tea leaves. Pooh. We finally decided to give it a try and wow! This not only makes it easier to prepare large batches, but also makes the tea taste very smooth. Very satisfied!
