Good for what it is made for

This is my first Thai tea filter I have ever bought so my opinion cannot be compared to others. I will say that it serves its purpose in making Thai leaf tea. It captures the entire leaf when it's time to strain it into a container. What I wish for is more discovery. It's quite difficult to pour from a regular pan without a spout. It's pretty durable, but I keep it in my bag so other items don't tear it up. It discolors from day one, but that's what Thai tea does! A good product.

Pros
  • Tea accessory
Cons
  • No instructions

SAVE MONEY AND BUY ELSEWHERE Terrible! Unsecured on first use due to poor stitching/stitching. Ruined a whole batch of Thai tea because as soon as I put the tea sock in the water the whole bottom opened up and loose tea spilled into my water. Well it wasn't ruined, had to use my old school paper towel to filter it through a sieve but the sock was useless. SAVE MONEY AND BUY OTHER EQUIPMENT!

Pros
  • Coffee, Tea and Espresso
Cons
  • Working Speed

perfect for grabbing small pieces, easy to clean, inside out

The wide top can be draped over a glass for easy use. captures tiny particles to make a cleaner drink. Easy to clean by turning inside out to shed the tea leaves and then rinsing/washing the fabric. Yes, it's colored because it's white, but who cares? It's a cooking item and at least with a white paint you can see you're removing any leaves etc so you know it's clean if not completely white again. LOVE using this as its length means you don't have to hold a pen while pouring.

Pros
  • Kitchen & Dining
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

but we're glad we did

I don't know why it took us so long to buy this but we're glad we did! We have been making Thai tea at home for many years and it always comes out very grainy because our metal strainer is not thin enough. So we end up filtering the tea more than 10 times and still get pieces. The last straw was that we were trying to make Thai tea ice cream and the ice cream wasn't homogeneous at all because we couldn't take out all the tea leaves. Pooh. We finally decided to give it a try and wow! This not…

Pros
  • Tea filter
Cons
  • Very expensive
