Just buy it, it works!

This thing grips as well if not better than any other tool I've tried to remove stuck filters with. The magnetic base works well. The hex adapter is also handy when there isn't space nearby to mount a ratchet. I think people giving less than excellent reviews have no idea how it should be used. Removes the filter. that is his only job. You never need a tool to tighten a traditional oil filter.

Pros
