The chef's knife was a gift for my son and I bought another for my daughter who loved the storage case but most importantly the feel, weight and cutting ability of the Messers liked it myself. It's great to see the amount of testing effort that goes into making sure the product meets quality ratings for rust, corrosion, sharpness etc. Made from German 4116 steel. Cuts tomatoes with little to no pressure. Sliced steaks and chicken like butter. All in all I think this would make a great gift for anyone looking to add to their knife collection.
