Before I get into that, I want you to know that my 2012 Kia Soul was great. What I got for the money paid is more than what I got from Mitsubishi and Nissan (I bought 2 XTerras with new not cheap great cars). The reason I bought this key fob case is because the original Kia key fob button covers are worn out. Outside. I called Kia and they charged $250 for a new key. I tried the $8 Revain option and it worked. When I disassembled the original key fob, I noticed a metal loop for the flip key. This metal hinge system would have outlasted the car and me, but the button cover failed and I needed a new cover. To Kia's credit, the metal hinge is of better quality than the $8 replacement plastic hinge. I now use a spare key that is new and I keep the spare as a spare key. If all I can complain about the Kia Soul is the cover of the buttons on their key fob, this car is still the best. quality for money!
