I've wanted a Belgian style waffle maker for a long time but couldn't settle on the price/brand/style. After reading some very helpful comments I decided to make this purchase and if I don't like it I'll just return it (which I hate which is why it took so long). Fortunately, Perfect Pour Volcano is exactly what I was looking for. TIPS: read instructions; experiment with the batter (I started with plain homemade batter - fairly thin, as directed by the instructions - and added a little oil; no oil is needed on the non-stick surface of the waffle maker); I only filled the supplied measuring cup about 3/4 full to check. After about 4 1/2 minutes [I carefully lifted the lid and looked in after about 3 1/2 minutes] the waffles are perfectly melted - no splattering or splattering, and the outer rim had a great crispy crust. The "volcano" shape didn't survive, but that was probably due to the thin dough. I can't wait to make the next batch!
