Review on Water Cooling System for Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420, Black/ARGB by Mateusz Walkowski ᠌

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

I have been using the cooler for more than a year, the computer is working, it works every day for at least 12 hours a day. The cooler is absolutely silent (of course, with proper settings in the BIOS) - and this is in my practically open Thermaltake View 71 case. During normal operation (not in heavy games), the temperature of my 9900KF does not exceed 60* with complete absence of noise. In heavy games, it can slightly exceed 70 *, the noise from the cooler is also not audible due to the noise of the video card cooler :) Of the shortcomings - fastening to the motherboard without clamping springs. Because of this, the cooler was unevenly pressed against the processor. I installed a mount from IceHammer IH-4350B with springs and it was great. Also, the design of fastening metal parts to the pump is poor - two plates are fastened with two screws that are screwed into the plastic of the pump housing and are screwed very poorly. All the load goes parallel to these cogs, tearing them out of the plastic. When I replaced the mount to the motherboard, I had to tighten these screws, because. they pulled out a bit under load. I also do not recommend connecting the cooler to a 3-pin connector or using DC mode instead of PWM. Firstly, in DC mode, the cooler will make more noise regardless of the voltage settings, and secondly, after some time, the small fan on the pump will spontaneously stop. Therefore, the connection is only PWM. On the whole, it's a good cooler, and if it weren't for the unfortunate oversights in its design, it would be a great thing.

Pros
  • Quiet, even after more than a year Cools my 9900KF great
Cons
  • Poor mounting to the motherboard without springs Poor pump mount design

Different pros: Quiet, adequately copes with the i7 13700K. Its cons: You need a case where this unit climbs into.
