Do not buy. Now that's a bunch of crap!

After opening the box I have read all the papers and registered the product. Update: I tested this and after 5 minutes of running my DSL modem the alarm went off. Then I smelled smoke. I unplugged it from the power source (12 volt car battery). So leave it disabled for now. Everything worked fine for about 5 minutes. The display shows 12.6 VDC. 0 watts used. I've never seen this before.
