Review on ๐ŸŽถ Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO: Audiophile Turntable with Carbon Fiber Tonearm, Speed Selection & Sumiko Rainier Cartridge (High Gloss White) by Dante Jeppi

Amazing sounding and looking turntable!

Recently found an old record and decided to buy a record player. I did a lot of research, first looking at used Technics 1200 models on ebay and newer "DJ setups" but who am I kidding, I don't mix. They just want to chill with a beer and listen to old school R&B, classic hip hop, 80's hits and a bit of Coltrane and Miles. Further research led me to Pro-Ject, U-Turn and Rega. I've never heard of these brands before but turns out they're worth checking out on a budget but you want to hear your vinyl. I'm by no means an audiophile, but I do know what sounds good to me, and the Pro-Ject Carbon is one of the most important pieces of the good sound puzzle. I've paired it with an old Sony receiver (pre-HDMI/4K) and a hardly used set of Energy Take 5 Classic speakers and it sounds fantastic! Everything from classic jazz to percussive beats sounds great. It was easy to put together but I'm pretty tech savvy. I also hooked it up to a Fosi tube preamp with GE tubes which seem to produce warmer tones and I could swear I can hear instruments in the background I've never heard before. A great player all round and brings back memories of listening to old tunes.
