Review on πŸ”ͺ Efficiently Cut Exhaust and Tailpipes with GEARWRENCH 2031DD Cutter by Ryan Gilliam

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for non-exhaust pipes

I tried this on my 2" muffler pipe and found that it wouldn't even "hook" on the nearest cut-off washer (i.e. ideally open a wrench and then connect it to the next cutting blade (i.e. each blade has a "pin" that "attaches" to the wrench). So I was forced to use the closest blade that wouldn't close around the pipe, even though I squeezed it until my palms felt like they were going to come off my hands! The best I could do was just score the surface of the pipe and it wasn't a straight cut. The biggest problem is that the evenly spaced, round "wings" don't allow for interdimensional tubing, as apparently my muffler tube did. which I had to cut to size for recycling and he did a great job Cut into a stainless steel tube and go through it like butter (although they say it won't work on stainless steel!) and twisting/twisting a wrench does the trick Works in just a quarter turn or two, depending on the thickness of the pipe /Kernel So it worked fine on "lightweight" things (i.e. things I could use a hacksaw or drill into) but not really what it's supposed to be for If it had worked for its intended purpose, it would have been worth the price, since it didn't, and since I already had an alternative for other purposes, there was e s none.
