They seem quite sturdy, time will tell for durability

The grain is running lengthwise on all of mine and you can put a lot of force on them without breaking. I'd test them a little the day you get them. Wood is a natural material source and subject to weak spots.if you break one right away, ship it back for refund! So far, so good for my set!
