This product is SUPER! The "clear" and "rubberized" side of the lid is very comfortable and has worked well with all my brands. I've used "cheap" brands (like the ones in magazines) and expensive (I call "investment" quality - LOL). With this product I was able to print the "cheaper" stamps just as well, sometimes even better than the expensive ones. Rubbery and transparent! The type of paper or medium you're stamping on obviously matters. The colors you use are important. But this platform does a great job and is reliable! I found that the magnets got in the way of some of the stamps, so I just had to fiddle with the placement so they didn't get in the way when pressed. There is a ruler mark on the horizontal/vertical pages, but it is very difficult to read and therefore non-functional (upgrade is strongly recommended). I would be very happy if it was "Made in America". The price of $45 is so high you'd think it could be done here. In any case, I highly recommend this product.
